Curiosities

Name:
El Candil is named after the kind of light that was used historically in the caves, lit up by oil lamps (candil).

Dedicated to:
This cave is dedicated to Alberto, Tío Tobas’ great-great grandson and current marketing and maintenance director of the resort.

Story:
Due to its location and structure, this cave is the most accurate regarding prehistoric caves, with an extended entrance on one side of the mountain, long corridors and rooms with a window to the outside.

Before being restored for a tourist purpose, this cave used to host a peculiar collection of oil lamps, many of them belonging to Tío Tobas’ descendants.
